Competition time: Choose to buy loose
Food Savvy will be supporting national Food Waste Action Week. The theme for this year is 'Choosing what you'll use' and only buy the fresh fruit and vegetables that you need by buying loose instead of grabbing a bag.
By changing a simple habit, we can make a huge difference as currently every day in UK homes, we throw away 2.9m potatoes, 1m bananas and 2.1m carrots! 35% of all edible food binned in UK homes is fresh fruit, veg and salad.
How to enter:
To be in with a chance to win £100 worth of supermarket vouchers simply share a photo of your loose fruit or veg in your shopping bag, trolley or crate. You only need to show that you have bought one or two items loose – although the more the better if you can!
You can enter the competition by sharing your photo as a comment on the pinned Facebook post on the Food Savvy Norfolk Facebook page for Norfolk residents or on the Food Savvy Suffolk Facebook page for Suffolk residents.
